A flame retardant plastic material with excellent electrical insulation properties, PolyPro FR is frequently used in electrical and electronic applications as a cost effective substitute for Formex, Nomex 410, Valox, Mylar, vulcanized fibre, Duroid, and Quin-T products.

Extremely low water absorption (less than .01% after immersion for 24 hours) allows PolyPro FRto meet UL requirements for use in outdoor equipment. It is suitable for outdoor use with respect to exposure to Ultraviolet Light, Water Exposure and Immersion in accordance with UL 746C. It's temperature resistance (to 110°C per UL testing) satisfies the UL requirement for 105°C temperature class applications. Excellent fabrication and formability characteristics allow the use of PolyPro FR in the production of low cost insulation components.
